Independent condition inspection before you commit, with defects, priorities and practical next steps.

Request an independent marine surveyor in Bermuda for a boat or yacht purchase, insurance, valuation, damage or specialist assignment. Matching starts with Hamilton, St George’s, Dockyard or the vessel’s exact mooring, safe access, haul-out capability and any Bermuda registry or statutory requirement.
A pre-purchase inspection is not the same assignment as a tonnage measurement or commercial-code survey. We keep the scope clear from the beginning.

Bermuda is compact, but vessels may be at a marina, private dock or licensed mooring with very different inspection access. Confirm where the boat can be boarded and hauled, facility permissions, weather and whether the work is private or requires Bermuda Shipping and Maritime Authority involvement.

Bermuda’s yacht-registry guidance states that the Certificate of Survey is completed by a Bermuda surveyor or a surveyor from a classification society recognised by Bermuda. Confirm the exact registry route before instruction.
No. The Bermuda Shipping and Maritime Authority retains or delegates defined statutory work according to the certificate and vessel. A buyer’s or insurer’s report does not automatically satisfy registry requirements.
Only when stated in writing. Tender or taxi travel, yard fees, lift, wash, relaunch, skipper, fuel and specialist diagnostics may be separate.
The client appoints the independent surveyor and agrees scope, fee, timing, limitations and terms directly. Bermuda Marine Survey provides information and introductions only.
Potential assignments include offshore-passage condition checks, storm & casualty investigation, tender-access & mooring surveys, engine diagnostics & oil analysis, rig & mast inspections, moisture, osmosis & corrosion, sea trials & delivery acceptance, bermuda registration & statutory work. Availability depends on the location, vessel and required specialist capability or formal appointment.
Select the country where the vessel is located, or send the exact port, marina or yard so the assignment can be reviewed.
Tell us the vessel, Bermudian location and reason for the survey. We can help clarify access and report requirements before you request an introduction.
